Wheel question in English

Bericht door Bhart_Canada » ma 21 mei, 2012 16:20

Daag, I speak little Nederlands so I will post in English - I hope this will not be a problem.

I have a 1964 that has been converted to MC 4 bolt wheels. I would like to have a set of Ronal or Minilite wheels to fit these brake hubs. My thought was to get a set of Ronals for a 99 or early 900, have the bolt holes enlarged for the MC wheel bolts and bolt them on. Could it be this easy?

Any suggestions would be welcomed. Veel bedankt.

Try asking in http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/vSAAB/messages, all English and a lot closer to you.

Nice upgrade! You also need other wheelbolts, which are longer:

Yes, but I thought I'd check with the 'experts'. Most of the nice Saab TTs I've seen on-line are from the Netherlands.

The Dutch are nooit verkeerd, aren't they?

Tenfour, your post is one of the one's I've been watching. Very nice.

My wheels are original, but boring.

This is one of the few things I need to do to this car.

Photo 22 is a Hollandia sun roof. http://s1057.photobucket.com/albums/t39 ... G_0730.jpg

Original owner was from Monster (at the wheel) and had the roof installed before he imported it to Canada, in 1965. The other fellow is my friend Phillip who purchased the V4 at the same time.

I am the big guy in this pic;

I don't like using those Hella mirrors in modern traffic, but the holes are in the fenders...

You could put them on your Mini...

Ok, the wheels are original but the chrome ring with 'spokes' were an extra, Why one would have those on a Monte Carlo... :-S+ Indeed Minilites make much more sense

For the time being, you could consider something like this:

As far as I know, 2-stroke 'Yke' has a hood with air-outlets which was typical for the Monte Carlo.

Those mirrors work like the ones for wide-angle view, in combination with the standard mirrors on the doors, these work quite well in my (little non-SAAB) expierience.

My Mini is '80s black & white, Ska styling. No chrome for that one.

The 'spokes' were part of the 'DeLuxe' (?) package. I'm not a fan of those.
I'd love to find a pair of the grills for the Monte Carlo hood vents. I'd cut the hood for those.

Those yellow wheels look like they have extra offset, don't they? Looks nice.
