Yes, exactly what I'm looking for. You're posting this to make me jealous? :cry:

I have found a set of Saab Ronals in Toronto (400km south) and I will go to look at them with cash in my pocket. The seller has used them on an MGA. :D

I have spoken to sonnett003 about what's needed to install the wheels and I'm hoping to hear back from him soon about buying the longer bolts and reamer. One question Tenfour, how do you know how deep to drill for the new bolts? :?

The yellow wheels on the blue 96 of PP are so called "RAC" wheels. Official Saab rally wheels to cope with the wider track made by the competitor cars in the muddy RAC rallies.

I will speak "Sonett003" this weekend and ask him to explain to you also how the adjustments on the wheels need to be made since he made the adjustments on 10-4's wheels too if I'm right.

What is the prize of a set of Ronals in Canada btw? There are some differences too, you have the original Minilites (light), the Ronals (minilite look-a-like, but a bit heavier and stronger, most common too, and finaly the ugly GB's.
The standard Ronals are also easy to find in Sweden for affordable prizes, maybe shipping is an option if the offered set does not meet your expectations...

Ik had de door mij [SE]-gespotte NOS minilites al naar Canada gepeebeed, misschien dus toch een mooiere optie dan de Ronals in Toronto...

The Minilights from FunkyDude's e-mail are very nice. Not sure about the bolt hole size - if it's correct for Monte Carlo brakes. They are the nicest and therefore most expensive. Shipping and taxes will probably add 35% to the cost.

The Ronals here are $400. CDN / 310. Euro. I still need the longer bolts for either and the reamer for Ronals. Probably more reasonable and with the other modifications needed, not too expensive. What other changes need to be made to the wheels?

I was intrigued by the width of the RAC rims. There is a possibility of 185/60-15 then....?

MSS (Jack Lawrence) makes wide soccerball wheels, if you supply two sets (8) he cuts them up and welds them back together so you'll have 4 wide wheels (and 4 narrow ones...). If this can be done for soccerballs, it can be done for Ronals (or any other wheel).
Tyre size 185/60-15 is possible, also 185/55-15 and 195/50-15.

@Bhart: The RAC rims will not fit on your car. As far as I know they are made for 5 bolt hubs only, so this will not fit your 4 bolt MC hub. Maybe with an adapter but I would not go for that option.

I'm not a fan of adapters or spacers. Something else that could cause problems. The design of many of these products can also put more leverage on the wheel bearings - not a good idea.

My choice is for the Minilite style wheel;

...and a sunny day.

I'll be on the road tomorrow morning to see the set in Toronto.

Just spoke to sonett003. He will contact you early next week. He also mentioned a shipping option by relatives to canada...

For that prize you should find a real neat set in Toronto.
