zie graag uw aller input tegemoet

ter info, abbott zegt:

T16 LPT Chargecooler System (SAAB C900)

T16/Carlsson/SPG Chargecooler system, 30 BHP Increase, £750.00 Part Number: AEN002A (Bosch Injection)

T16/Carlsson/SPG Chargecooler system, 30 BHP Increase, £750.00 Part Number: AEN002B (Lucas Injection)

LPT/Ecopower Chargecooler system, 35 BHP Increase, £750.00 Part Number: AEN003

We developed the chargecooler in 1991 and have since sold over a thousand kits. Racing the Classic 900 in 1987 and 1988 we soon realised how inefficient the standard intercooler system was. Not only did it fail to keep the intake temperature down, it also produced a significant amount of back-pressure which promotes turbo lag.

The T16 system is suitable for the T16, T16S, Carlsson and SPG models and replaces the existing Intercooler, located behind the left front headlight. T16 models develop incredible mid-range torque and top-end pulling power when fitted with the chargecooler. Turbo lag is also reduced thanks to higher air-flow rates.

The LPT system is for Low-Pressure Turbo or "Ecopower" models which have no standard Intercooler. LPT models respond extremely well to the chargecooler system as their smaller Compressor turbine gives faster spool-up than a T16, however the final power of the T16 is ultimately higher.

Flow Rate Comparison.

Standard SAAB Intercooler, 105 CFM (Cubic Feet/Minute).
Abbott Racing Chargecooler, 140 CFM (Cubic Feet/Minute).

Both tests carried out at 10in water pressure

Temperature Comparison.

Standard SAAB Intercooler intake temperature drop, 31 Degrees Celsius.
Abbott Racing Chargecooler intake temperature drop, 51 Degrees Celsius.

Tested back to back in repeat 70-100Mph full throttle, using a 1993 900 T16, Standard 175Bhp, ambient air temperature at time of test, 20 Degrees Celsius.

The chargecooler system, cooled by its own pumped water supply not only allows the engine to breath better - reducing turbo lag, but can produce more reliable power thanks to the reduced intake temperatures.

We recommend the 3.3 bar fuel pressure regulator to boost power above 4000RPM in conjunction with the chargecooler system.

hier een verhaaltje van ene Alex

http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/archi ... -2242.html

A standard car runs 12-13psi anyway. Abbott state a 20° inlet temp reduction which is roughly a 5% power increase or 10hp. So where does the 20hp power increase come from with the charge cooler. Increased boost anyone?

Ken iemand die het sinds nieuw in zijn GT heeft zitten.
Bevalt uitstekend.
